Weather Policy

At Prep Hoops Next, the safety of athletes, families, and staff is our top priority. While weather-related cancellations are extremely rare, our team follows a proactive and transparent process to ensure everyone stays informed.

How We Monitor Weather

Our Regional Operations Managers track weather conditions closely every week leading into an event. If they identify anything that could jeopardize the safety or playability of a tournament or showcase, they immediately communicate with our Events Team to evaluate next steps.

How We Communicate

If an event is ever in question due to weather, Prep Hoops Next will notify all necessary parties:

• Showcases: All registered parents and players
• Tournaments: Directors, coaches, parents, and players

Communication will be sent via email and text, with updates provided as soon as new information is available.

Cancellations or Postponements

Although it is extremely uncommon for Prep Hoops Next to cancel or postpone an event, unexpected conditions can occur. If we do need to adjust plans:

• You will hear from us right away with clear next steps.
• We will outline all available payment options, regardless of whether you purchased showcase protection/insurance or not.

If the Event is still being held, but a parent/player makes the decision not to attend due to weather conditions:

• We strongly recommend purchasing event protection for events being held during known inclement weather times of year. 
• If you make the difficult decision not to attend due to weather-related issues, please contact us here. Our customer experience team will work with you on the next steps once our services reopen on the next business day. 
• If event protection was purchased, you will receive a credit towards the next event of your choosing. 
• If the event is still being held and event protection was not purchased, all sales will be considered final.
