Prep Network is committed to upholding the policies and regulations established by the National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS).
We recognize that within the framework of NFHS guidelines, individual states possess the authority to tailor specific policies through a democratic voting process. Given that Prep Network operates events across multiple states, and acknowledging that a majority of states have embraced the inclusion of transgender student-athletes in alignment with their gender identity, we are dedicated to fostering an environment of inclusivity that enables all students to participate in athletic endeavors.
This underscores the principle that eligibility for boys’ or girls’ sports is determined by a student’s gender identity, rather than their assigned sex at birth. Transgender students who seek to partake in sports aligned with their gender identity may be requested to provide documentation, which could include a letter from a medical or mental health professional validating their gender identity as per the specific regulations of their state’s high school league.
We place trust in participating programs and coaches that have a player or players aspiring to engage in sports consistent with their gender identity to diligently fulfill any documentation and approval requirements set forth by their respective state high school league. This may involve, but not limited to, obtaining a letter from a medical or mental health professional to confirm their gender identity.
This policy can be found on all of our event websites.
